Happy New Year to you all! I tried to have a break and do ‘Plenty of nuttin’ over the Christmas holiday, as I suspected that New Year would get off to a bang.

I have just returned from leading a Stringbabies Training day in Cornwall.
You can read a review and see some photos and a film clip by following the link

It was immense fun working with the staff from Music Cornwall and giving 2 little 5 year olds their first ever cello lesson in full view of the staff. Particularly touching was hearing a little concert by the Stringbabies of Perranporth Junior school led by their teacher, Jane Harding and also hearing from one cello teacher, Barbara, that 25% of the children in one of her schools in Boscastle, play the cello!

The second bit of news is that Hackney Music Service have become partners and are going to be running trials of the recorder adaptation of Stringbabies starting this month.
we now have a website for the adaptations on which we will post latest news - http://www.musicbabies.org.uk

It is all very exciting…the only problem is there is just 24 hours in a day and I need to find time to keep writing and creating. A nice problem to have.

prev Music Teachers Awards 2014 ... next Stringbabies and some very special students
