I have plenty to write about over the next few weeks but wanted to kick off the new academic year by mentioning a Stringbabies teacher who is also beginning to make her name as a composer.

Alison Wrenn, who teaches cello in Bedfordshire, has been making waves over the past 18 months as she has returned to composing.
She has enjoyed remarkable and well deserved success in national competitions and has also recently composed a set of easy cello trios, which I was very privileged to see before publication and to add an endorsement.
Her style is wonderfully accessible - definately a composer to watch!
You can find out more at her website http://www.alisonwrenn.co.uk and the link to the page about the cello trios is http://www.alisonwrenn.co.uk/news/august/easycellotrios.html
