Violin & Violababies and Sancha

Stringbabies is an inspiring and exciting way to introduce young children to the wonderful world of music. It helps to build a strong musical foundation incorporating singing, aural, and composition skills in a fun, child friendly manner from the very start.

My thoughts on teaching music

To be a successful teacher you need passion, creativity, enthusiasm and patience. It’s also important to recognise and understand each child’s individual strengths and weaknesses and know how to encourage them to practice and progress while creating a fun and creative environment in which to learn.

Musical experience

Sancha is a popular and dedicated violin and viola teacher based in Furzedown, South West London. She has many years of experience teaching children of all ages and currently teaches both privately, and in London state and Prep schools.

Sancha has been passionate about music from a very early age, and inspired by her violinist mother, started violin lessons when she was five.

At fourteen years old, Sancha was awarded the Wolfson Scholarship to study the viola at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama; she then went on to lead and play as a soloist with various youth orchestras in Scotland.

After leaving school, Sancha moved to London to continue her studies at The Royal College of Music and since then has worked as a freelance and session musician with a variety of orchestras and on many TV shows, such as Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and The Brit Awards.

Sancha is a passionate teacher and hopes to inspire and instil in young children a lifelong love of music.
