Websites that are useful, people we respect

This page links to sites of interest to Cellobabies, Violababies & Violinbabies players, teachers and parents and to other musicians.

Teachers, courses & resources

Exeter Young Strings An exciting project led by dedicated and experienced string teachers. Kirsty Hugil, the Director, is establishing two music centres as part of an inclusion programme for children from disadvantaged areas of Exeter and is using ‘Cellobabies’ and ‘Violinbabies’ as the main teaching material!

Cellocourses.com A great resources site, run by Catherine Black, a wonderful cellist and cello teacher in her own right. As the site name suggests, Catherine runs a brilliant series of courses for cello players who really want to move on. Her one day workshops include looking at performance and practise. Catherine also runs one day and a stunning six day summer school for ensemble playing of Renaissance and Baroque music – where else would you find such a happy, challenging experience for players of a wide range of abilities – do have a look!
